A Level Results Day 2025
BackUckfield College students celebrate fantastic A-level and BTEC results!
Uckfield College students have yet again achieved wonderful results in their A-level and BTEC exams and there were many, many happy faces this morning as results were opened!
The results that were achieved by Uckfield College students were significantly above the national averages for progress. 25% of all students taking A-levels achieved either A or A*, with 60% achieving A*-B and 82% achieving A*-C. Our students taking BTEC qualifications performed exceptionally well, with 10% achieving double Distinction*, 35% Distinction/Distinction* and 67% Distinction/Distinction.
Following their immense hard work, students are now able to take up their places on a varied and wide range of university places, apprenticeships and employment, including some of the most competitive and aspirational available. An impressive 90% of UCAS applications have been placed in their first choice with a further 10% securing an insurance place. 40% of students achieved places at the prestigious Russell Group universities and on top courses at other universities for specific subjects. Students also have been successful in gaining opportunities on highly competitive apprenticeships, Art Foundation courses and a range of exciting other routes.
We are delighted that our 2025 outcomes are comparable to those of pre-pandemic years which place Uckfield College as a top provider and where high grades account for just under 70% of all results. In April 2024, Uckfield College Sixth Form was evaluated by OFSTED as ‘Outstanding’ and was described as an ‘exceptional experience’. In addition to the excellent teaching and results, the Sixth Form was highly commended for its pastoral care, UCAS support and highly individualised personal development support and education for each student.
Principal Sara Marshallsay said: ‘I’d like to congratulate Uckfield College students for all they have achieved and thank staff for their dedication. Our results are a reflection of our committed and talented students, and fantastic College staff team, who have once again achieved great success. I’m extremely proud of them. Thank you too to our parents and carers for the support they have provided to their young people. Our outgoing students can use their academic success as a platform for their futures ahead but we also know that our students are so much more than their grades, and are just as proud of their personal qualities, particularly their kindness, dedication and aspiration. Good luck to all of our students as they embark on their varied and exciting next steps. You are all talented, wonderful individuals, and all of us at Uckfield College wish you the very best for your futures’.
Head of Sixth Form Gemma Fassam said: ‘The Sixth Form team is incredibly proud of our students’ achievements. Their results are a testament to what can be accomplished through consistent hard work. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces this morning, and we’re excited to follow their journeys in the months ahead. We wish them every success and look forward to celebrating together at the December celebration evening.'
