Sixth Form Open Evening at Uckfield College

Our Open Evening is being held on Wednesday 11th November 2026 between 5.30pm-8pm.

Over many years our exceptional results consistently show we are one of the best schools in the country. We were rated as 'Outstanding' in our recent 2024 Ofsted Inspection.

During the evening there will be presentations and set talks from representatives of each subject, who will give guidance and information concerning the variety of courses on offer.

Welcome from Ben McLachlan - Head of Sixth Form

Welcome to Uckfield College Sixth Form. This is an exciting time of self-discovery, where you will uncover new talents and realise your full potential. The next stage of your educational journey will transform your life and, here at Uckfield, we are proud to offer a challenging yet supportive environment, providing you with outstanding opportunities to develop both academically and personally.

As the largest Sixth Form College in the local area, we have broad provision at Key Stage 5, including a wide range of A-level and vocational courses. Students are guided to make appropriate choices based on their performance at GCSE and in discussion with members of the Sixth Form leadership team. Teaching time allocated to each subject is either four or five lessons per week for A-level and vocational subjects. Students are also allocated discrete study support time on their timetables, which takes place in our dedicated Sixth Form Study Area. This is silent time for individual work and supports students in making the transition from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 effectively.
