Welcome from Sara Marshallsay, Principal

Mrs Sara Marshallsay A warm welcome to Uckfield College and thank you for your interest in our high-achieving and deeply caring learning community.

I am incredibly proud and privileged to be Principal of Uckfield College. It is an inspiring place to work, and every day our young people and staff team amaze me with what they achieve and how they support one another.

At Uckfield, students are at the heart of everything that we do. We believe that children are all unique and precious individuals with different talents and aspirations. The expert and caring staff team here are dedicated to providing our young people with an excellent education, and as a result, the best possible start to their lives. We also place great value on building mutually supportive partnerships with parents/carers - working together in the child’s best interests.

Our success is very much based on a strong ethos of aspiration, belonging and respect for all. We have unapologetically high expectations of conduct, in order that our students can thrive and enjoy their learning in a purposeful, positive, happy and safe environment.

As a result, students flourish and are happy. They develop their self-belief and agency through an exceptionally rich range of opportunities, encouragement and celebration. They achieve personal excellence, both academically and personally, often far more than they had ever thought possible.
