Anti-Bullying

Uckfield College will not tolerate bullying of any kind as we believe that all members of the College community have the right to learn and work free from intimidation and fear.

If your child is experiencing bullying please report it as soon as possible

Bullying is defined as:

Repeated behaviour which is intended to hurt someone either emotionally or physically, and is often aimed at certain people because of their race, religion, gender or sexual orientation or any other aspect such as appearance of disability.

All bullying that the school is made aware of will be taken seriously, investigated thoroughly and fair action taken.  The outcome will depend upon the severity of the bullying.  The first action you can take to stop bullying is to report the bully as soon as possible.  If there is continued bullying the level of sanction will increase and will do all we can to support the victim.

As with all bullying, we will not tolerate cyber-bullying and would encourage young people and parents/carers to report any such issues to the College, to dsl@uckfield.college.  In addition, if there are any concerns in relation to any content which is on the internet or any persons who may be contacting young people, please report to dsl@uckfield.college.
