Successful Uckfield College students get their A Level results

A Level Results Improve Again

Students, staff and parents celebrated yet another very successful set of A level results at Uckfield Sixth Form College. 24% of the results achieved the highest grades of A*/A, the percentage of A*-B grades was 55% and of A*-C was 78%. The average grade students achieved was a B. These results were an improvement on last year’s very strong results.

Principal, Hugh Hennebry said, “This was the first year of the new A Levels, which are more demanding. The success has been due to the very mature and hard-working approach that our students have put into their studies and the tremendous support of their parents. It has also been due to the thorough and professional way our teachers have adapted their teaching and learning for the new exams and made sure that every student was so well prepared. Last year, Uckfield achieved in the top 15% of all schools nationally and this year our results have improved again. Congratulations to all of our students, we are so very proud of them.”

Gemma Fassam, Head of Sixth Form added, “All the Sixth Form team are delighted with our students’ results. The students have worked exceptionally hard and thoroughly deserve their success. We are thrilled that so many students have got into University and equally overjoyed that those who are taking other routes have been accepted onto those too. Well done to all our 2017 Leavers!”
