2022 A level results at Uckfield College

It was a day of great celebration as Uckfield College Sixth Form students collected their A level and BTEC results, which show that students excel whether doing academic or vocational courses. A Level: 1 in 5 grades (19%) were an A*, 39% were A*-A, 70% were A*-B and 92% were A*-C. This showed that students across the board did exceptionally well. The average grade that all the students achieved at A level was a B+. BTEC: The average grade was a Distinction+ (the equivalent of a B).

Hugh Hennebry, Principal, said, "We are thrilled and delighted at yet another outstanding set of results. This was a brilliant year group who rose to every challenge of their demanding courses. Throughout their time in Sixth Form they showed curiosity and a real thirst for knowledge and understanding. They also demonstrated great resilience and became truly independent learners. Once again, it is heart-warming to see how well the teachers, pastoral mentors and parents worked together as a strong team with the student at the heart of everything. Well done to everyone who made today’s results such a great success. We wish every student who finished Sixth Form with us this year all the very best for a happy and fulfilled future."

Sara Marshallsay, Head of School, commented, "Many congratulations to our students for a really superb set of results. We are all extremely proud of their achievements, which are all the more impressive when you take into account the additional challenges they have faced over the last few years."

Gemma Fassam, Head of Sixth Form, added, "We are so proud of all that our Y13s have achieved. Their results are excellent and we know that this will open many doors for them in the future. They have all worked so hard and it is lovely to see their efforts being rewarded. We wish them all the best in the future with whatever they are going on to do next."

So many students achieved or surpassed their personal goals and have been able to go on to their chosen next step. Congratulations to every student for all their hard work and commitment.
