At the end of last year Toby Whales, 10D,  had trials to play for Team UK at inline roller hockey. He has now been selected to play in both his age group and the age group above. Toby will represent the UK in July, travelling to Missouri USA for the largest inline hockey tournament in the world. State Wars is a competition between all the states of America and countries including Canada and several from Europe.

Toby trains several times a week at local rinks and then monthly at a hockey camp in Sheffield. He has been allocated an America hockey coach to give him online coaching and fitness programs. This is a fantastic opportunity for him to play against professional players and be seen by some of the best players in the world.

His commitment to this sport and discipline over the last few years is now rewarded with this opportunity to represent the UK. We hope to bring you updates on his training and progress and all the games will be streamed live from America.  Congratulations Toby, this is an incredible achievement and we look forward to following your achievements!

Enormous congratulations to Joolz Earley, 9K, who has been selected to complete in the 2018 FC Brings It On Cheerleading Championships in Paris in March and then at the 2018 Varsity Summit Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida in May!  At the event in Paris Joolz and the team will be competing against some of the best in Europe and will perform in the Disney pre parade! The Championships in Orlando are a prestigious event where only a select few teams in England have been invited to attend!

Joolz has been Cheerleading for 2 years and trains with Zodiac Allstars, based in Lancing.  Last year Joolz and her team-mates were crowned National champs which was an amazing achievement. This year Joolz is part of 3 teams as well as 2 Paris teams and also the Summit team; training is hard, intense and needs a lot of commitment. To achieve being part of the Summit team is a dream come true for Joolz; there are 21 athletes in her team called Shadow.  They fly out to Florida on the 30th April and will train until the competition.  Incredibly they have the opportunity to train with Top Gun, which is the No 1 Cheerleading team in the world!  To represent your country is an amazing achievement and we are sure Joolz and the team will do their country proud!

We wish Joolz and the team all the very best for these championships and look forward to bringing you more news in the future.
