Year 7 Geography Field Trip

On 20th June the Geography department took year 7 out on the annual summer trip to Ashdown Forest, Arlington Reservoir and Firle Beacon.

This trip gave students the opportunity to  look in detail at the influence of the geology on the scenery and human activity at each location.  This ties in with the Local Area and Geology work we have been doing this year in year 7 geography.

The South of England show is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and our display of 'Edible bugs' is proudly displayed in the Countryside Hub.

Eco club students, under the guidance of Clare Brown (Art teacher) and Hollie Hughes (year 9), have produced a display of insects made from recycled materials along with real insects that are intended for human consumption.
