Poignant drama performances

Year 10 drama students gave their audience a thought-provoking evening of performances on the theme of Youth Homelessness on Friday 14th July.  The devised pieces created by the students explored the causes and effects of homelessness upon young people using a variety of abstract techniques from companies such as Frantic Assembly, Off Balance and The Paper Birds. Audience members were genuinely moved by some of the stories explored and then entertained by a final piece about the silliness of First World Problems in comparison to the other issues presented.

Eco club students, under the guidance of Clare Brown (Art teacher) and Hollie Hughes (year 9), have produced a display of insects made from recycled materials along with real insects that are intended for human consumption.
